Companies want to attract qualified, hard-working individuals. Recruitment videos are a great way to give potential employees an insider look and show off the most appealing aspects of your company.

 

Here are some tips for creating a great recruitment video :

 

Convey core values

Letting potential employees identify the values of your company allows them to understand what kind of environment to expect from your workplace. Use your recruitment video to make clear the conduct expected from your employees.

Choose the best talent to feature

Feature your best employees who you find exemplify what you're looking for in a new hire. Applicants are looking to hear from current employees who are passionate about your company and eager to share their experience.

Cater to the company, not the position

Create content that can be used to attract hires for a broad spectrum of positions. The goal of a recruitment video should be to create interest in the company as a whole, not for specific job openings.

Put people on camera who should be on camera

Do not force anyone to be on-camera. Just because someone is a great employee, does not make them a good public speaker. Use individuals who are enthusiastic about appearing on camera and who embody the ideals of your company.

Be explicit

Direct the viewer where to apply or find more information during the video, instead of linking a site in the description. This way, they can be intaking information and looking at your website at the same time.

Showcase the entirety of your company

Showcase employees of all levels and positions in your video, allowing the viewer a well-informed feel for your company.

Don’t sell your company as something it's not

Do not falsely portray your company. As enticing as you may wish for your company to appear, do not sell it as something it is not. Instead, find what makes you excited about your company and showcase it.

When creating a recruitment video, be transparent and publicize your company in a creative yet engaging way.
