Finishing the script and making all the significant changes beforehand will ensure that there won’t be any wasted time once you get back on the video production process.

Aside from any dialogue, your video may contain, it would help if you also had a treatment, full plot and characters, a good story treatment, any scene indicators, and most importantly: complete drafts. Drafts are made to be edited, so now would be the best time to do so. 

Outline Your Budget for Marketing

Just like any other part of your business, video marketing needs a budget dedicated to it. The budget will not only go into the production but in pre and post-production as well. 

You should also prepare your budget to encompass your video marketing for at least the coming months. Most businesses plan yearly budgets, but because of the pandemic’s suddenness and uncertainty, it’s understandable only to have the next few months planned ahead of time.

Shot lists should go hand-in-hand with your script. If your script is the verbal outline of the video, the shot list will serve as a more specific visual outline. It’s best to communicate shot lists through storyboards. Illustrate or sketch the crucial shots of the video that you can already imagine. If you’re collaborating with video professionals, they will need a shot list to follow.
